Larry W Burgess is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and a 29-year veteran as a financial services professional. A graduate of Texas Tech University ("76"), he entered the financial services industry in Amarillo, Texas in 1980. He relocated to Dallas in 1987 and began a career as an insurance and estate planning professional and subsequently added comprehensive financial planning and investment services. He has the professional credentials of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He has served as president of the Dallas Chapters of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Estate Planning Council of North Texas. He was listed in the January 2009 issue of D Magazine's article titled "Best Financial Planners in Dallas".
Larry is a fitness enthusiast, an outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and mountain trekking and a student of Christian literature, the classics and historical non-fiction. He has served in a leadership capacity with numerous charitable and civic organizations. He and his wife Talan reside in Far North Dallas. They have two adult children.
Gordon Youngblood is a 27-year professional in the group insurance and employee benefits market. A Dallas native and graduate of Southern Methodist University, Gordon began his career in 1982 with Aetna Life Insurance. A successful producer in the individual market led him to work with a number of closely-held companies and he developed experience in the group insurance market. Today he has a highly successful group insurance and employee benefits practice. He has experience in the group medical insurance market and can advise and serve as broker for his clients on almost all types of plans; fully insured, self-insured, HMOs, PPOs, consumer-directed, voluntary worksite programs and creative, customized solutions for specialized situations. He also offers group life, dental, disability, vision and long-term care insurance. Gordon was an organizer and serves on the Board of Directors of TBank, N.A.
Gordon is an avid sports fan and has spent much of his time in the community coaching youth football, baseball, and basketball. He has served on the J.J. Pearce High School Athletic Booster Board as President and served as Campaign Co-Chair for the J.J. Pearce High School Excellence in Education Fund. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and history. Gordon has two sons, Ryan, a graduate of Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas and Garrett, a student at Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, Co.
Aaron Cherry, a Dallas native, graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with honors in December of 1999. Aaron began his career in financial services in 2000 with Fidelity Investments where he was promoted to the role of Senior Retirement Specialist working with high net worth clients. While at Fidelity Investments, he completed his M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. Aaron relocated to Tyler, Texas in 2004 where he worked as a Financial Associate for A.G. Edwards and gained additional experience in comprehensive financial planning. Aaron relocated back to the Dallas area in the summer of 2007 to join Helmsman Financial Partners, LLP.
Aaron is passionate about the outdoors and spending time hunting, fishing, and boating. Aaron also likes to spend time watching and playing sports as well as reading. Aaron is devoted to his friends and family including his beautiful wife Kelley and son Cade. He enjoys community and church involvement where he lives in Frisco.
Vicki Corbett is a 30-year insurance professional. She has worked in all facets of insurance; both Personal and Commercial lines of Property Casualty and all areas of the Employee Benefits arena; including self insured and fully insured group health, life, dental, vision and disability. She brings a vast knowledge and understanding of the client’s, as well as the carrier’s, perspective to her marketing skills. She began her insurance career in the early 70’s at Travelers Insurance Company; whose group department later became United HealthCare. In the 80’s she moved on to the broker side of the industry, bringing her well rounded insight to that venue as well.
She is a Dallas native and enjoys gardening, traveling and antiquing. Vicki has one grown son that lives in Washington state.
